Federation of Social Workers Golf Tournament

Second Annual Alyssa's Angels Easter Egg Hunt
Despite freezing temperatures, children of all ages gathered on Saturday, March 22 nd at Miller Road Park in West Henrietta to search for candy filled plastic eggs. Thank you to all the families who participated and helped raise over $500 for Alyssa's Angels.
Family Movie Night
On Friday, November 16, 2007, students at Rush-Henrietta Senior High School held a Family Movie Night. Mrs. Christie DeWald's Leadership Class organized the free event, sold refreshments and snacks, and collected donations for Alyssa's Angels. The event raised $683 for our organization!
Rochester Marathon
Former Rochester Rhinos player and current Alyssa's Angels board member, Bill Sedgewick ran the Rochester Marathon in September 2007. He collected pledges prior to his run and donated all of the pledge money to Alyssa's Angels. Special thanks to:
• Joey Saputo, president of the Montreal Impact, who donated $2,500
• Faber Homes for their donation of $250
• David Pennington, co-owner of Pita Pit, who collected $150 in donations at area Pita Pit locations
Overall, Bill raised $3,917 for Alyssa's Angels!
Federation of Social Workers Golf Tournament
The Monroe County Federation of Social Workers held their annual golf tournament in August, 2007. For the first time, Alyssa's Angels was a benefiting charity of this golf tournament. We had 140 golfers in the field and the tournament raised over $12,000! Alyssa's Angels, along with Christopher's Challenge and the Ed Grabowski Memorial Scholarship Fund, received over $4,000!
Pasta Dinner
Our charity officially launched with our first event, a pasta dinner at La Trattoria D'Abruzzo Italian Restaurant, in Irondequoit, raising over $5,000! Thank you to all who attended and worked so hard to make this possible!
